This Year In Photo Shoots

What better way to capture the moments than through a photo; they say a photo is worth a thousand words. Well in 2011 Nanichi has more than a thousand words to say, thanks to several photo shoots.

Nanichi’s summer photo shoot tour of 2011 was so successful that it extended into the chilly fall months.

This year in photo shoots started with Model Cora Zo, who first ventured into the modeling industry in 2009 and since then have travelled to diverse places to develop her craft. Primarily modeling in the DC metropolitan area, Cora has also modeled for shoots in NYC, Charlotte and Philadelphia.

 Nanichi travelled to the Caribbean island of Anguilla where the next shoot was held with model La-Toya Mathew, a local Anguillian and beautiful role model. La-Toya achieved 1st runner up in the highly touted 2007 Miss Anguilla competition. She has also since then furthered her education and is giving back to the community.

Getting back from the islands, Ilka came across a stunning picture of model Autumn Don and was determined to work with her. Autumn, the “Au Natural” was a joy to work with. A new and unique face on the modeling scene gives her the advantage.

Nanichi turned the adventures up a notch and next worked with Mental Photoz, a photographer with an artist eye that go beyond the norm and experiment with concepts, colors and shadows, and light.  I was given the opportunity to work with two talented models Brooke Young and Kelsie E’mon.

After receiving plenty request from fans to have CEO/Designer of Nanichi model her own jewelry, things started happening exactly like that.

“I’m starting to get the hang of it, and I enjoy being in front of the camera for a change. Well at least I know what I want the photographer to capture, and I understand the concept. Now I just need to get better at it.”

Ilka admitted to enjoying her photo shoots the most. “It is a different experience. I designed the jewelry and I get to wear it proudly!”

I closed the year in photo shoots with a very natural photo shoot with model Mariatu. I enjoyed this shoot not only because it would be my last for the year but also because the work and moments produced were the art of women only.
