The year 2020 has been so many experiences wrapped in one exceptionally long year, it feels as though the concept of time changed just for this year. None of us saw anything like this coming, the world pandemic, hate crimes and violence, the fight for justice, extreme weather patterns and the list goes on.
Do you remember when there was much chatter about starting a new decade? #Newness and #2020Vision
I have had the opportunity this year to be still, and while I thought I was being still all along, this year in particular opened up my awareness to a different kind of stillness, deep reflection, and gratitude. Each day I was reminded that I am a soul having a human experience and my human experience could come to an end at any time.
I partnered with my son, naturally to write inspirational holiday cards. This year, through work I was able to give back to those in the community by helping iGen Greater Washington to reach their goal. iGen Greater Washington is working with two local elderly care facilities to deliver at least one holiday card to each resident. Their goal is to have 350 cards to send to the residents of these facilities, many of whom have been self-quarantined and unable to visit their family this year.
