The question I'm answering today is "Who did the hair?" well it was done by Lisa Paul currently location in Anguilla (British West Indies). This hairstyle was properly preserved for a long trip to Washington DC where this image was shot!

This year Nanichi celebrated the grand 5th anniversary of hard work, dedication and success. And as with custom, we kicked off the year by giving back to the community. On January 22nd 2012, Nanichi was featured in a fashion show dedicated in support of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Members of the ALS community and the ALS association will be present to provide important information about Lou Gehrig’s disease.
THEN OF COURSE WE MUST REPRESENT!!!!!! On May 5th 2012 Nanichi was featured in Caribbean Daze: One Love One Heart Fashion Show hosted by UMD Caribbean Students Association . And during the month of June – Caribbean Heritage Month Nanichi hosted a Caribbean Heritage Month Photoshoot Tour which featured for example a photoshoot with Model Dianne.O. Nanichi also donated a Jamaican inspired layered necklace and bracelet to Jamaican Women of Washington, Inc for their 10th Annual High Tea Silent Auction.

It has been five years of great experiences and grand relationships; within five years Nanichi has grown tremendously.
Nanichi will be closing the year off at the CW50 Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle Expo on October 20th 2012. We are getting rid of ALLLLLL pieces!
“I created my first professional piece of jewelry in 2004, a gold-tone chain bracelet accented with lilac and blue beads. This bracelet was the beginning of years of designing and creating over 100 pieces of jewelry.”
“I cannot say that I have one favorite piece. Each time that I design a new piece it becomes a new favorite because I create based on the energies I am feeling at that particular moment; sometimes I create large, bold, tribal pieces and then there are times when I want to create small subtle pieces.”
“I appreciate the beauty in nature and thus look to nature for embellishments. My jewelry inspired by Caribbean scenery as well as culture usually highlights just that. The fact that there are uneven textures, lines and random colors found in nature is what allows my designs to stand out, unique and beautiful in their own right; setting Nanichi apart from other brands.”
This year has been a year of many accomplishments and new adventured for Nanichi. We are happy to announce to you another grand event.
Team Nanichi would like to thank you for your constant support this year. Hopefully we will see you at Latin Fashion Week!

I call this blue stone piece Sky, in honor of a great friend/brother/inspiration Shaun “Sky” Rogers. 1986-2008
This piece was showcased for the first time on August 18th 2012 on Day 2 of Baltimore Fashion Week 2012, as Baltimore Fashion Week celebrated their 5th anniversary production year. This piece was the opening piece of Nanichi’s showcase.
“You believed in me when I did not believe in myself, you said Nanichi would one day be on runways around the world, and you also reminded me never to forget you when it does!” ~I.H
