A Note From Ilka ...

Photographer Carolyn (Carol) Douglas captured this lovely image of myself and husband in 2013, taken right before the birth of our son.

I did not intend to take a break from designing, it just happened as my son consumed every second of my time,as well as energy and creative effort. It has only been a great experience, though tough at times, it is rewarding to love my family unconditionally.

While away, I took the time to learn new things and love new things. My inspirations are somewhat different but endless and every day is new and unpredictable. I am grateful and only see it as fitting to have taken some time off.
I am currently working on my first project since adding Mommy to my list of titles.
