Nanichi Announce New Brand Identity, Logo And Website Relaunch

If you have been following and supporting Nanichi over the years then you’d noticed that I took a break. I walked away in the middle of 2013, not quite sure about the future of Nanichi. I was pregnant with my first child and preparing for his arrival. I enjoy being mommy to an amazing young man, he has taught me plenty and have and continue to inspire me in many ways.

I spent the two years being busy trying to figure it all out and thus some things were put on the back burner. It took some time but I have discovered how to do it all in a matter minutes; you know! Wash, cook, clean, eat and feed my son all at once. I tried to design but my creative spirit took a dip; now that my son is growing and becoming an independent toddler I feel that spark again, it’s telling me that I am ready.

I woke up one day and just felt it; I was ready to relaunch Nanichi. I didn’t give it much thought, however ideas just came to me and they felt right. I am in a new place as an individual and an artist and Nanichi will definitely reflect that. 

I designed and created Nanichi’s new logo in a matter of minutes, I knew I wanted something simple and easy on the eyes but I didn’t want anything shallow. I wanted something that represents Nanichi going forward and convey a positive message. I used the Gye Nyame (jeh N-yah-mee) symbol in the design of the logo and precisely at the beginning of the word Nanichi. It symbolizes the supremacy of God and a translation of the symbol is this: This great panorama of creation dates back to time immemorial; no one lives who saw its beginning and no one will live to see its end, EXCEPT GOD.
